Since 1919, the Clifford family has been in the automotive repair business in the Louisville, KY area. Frank L. Clifford Sr., along with sons Frank Jr. and Jack, worked together in the downtown shop until the late 1950s.

In the early 1960s, Frank L. Clifford Jr. moved the business to the Poplar Level Road location. Frank’s sons Wally, Paul and Tommy then joined him in 1970 and over the next 20 years they built the business to the size it is today.

Our Body Shop Today

Our 30,000 sq. ft. facility is set up to handle over the road trucks, buses, RVs, fire trucks, box delivery trucks, cars, SUVs, pick-up trucks and complete fiberglass repairs such as boats, jet skis, parts and pieces. We also sell an epoxy product line. The paint shop has three large paint booths that can handle up to 50’ vehicles and boats.

 The Clifford families, along with our staff of longtime employees, follow this simple rule: “Complete the work you have been asked to perform, in a timely manner, for a fair price, that meets the customer’s expectations.”
